Filer Screenshots > Filer on iPhone 4
-
Files View
Front and center, here's your files and folders. Tap one to open it, tap > to get down to the details
-
File Transfer Queue
File transfers to/from Filer. You can pause/resume them, reorganize, or just plain get rid of them. Uploads there are going to a Dropbox. These transfers are multitasking-enabled in iOS4.
-
File Details
This is what happens when you drill down, more options do get your files around.
-
View Files
Filer uses the iOS built-in viewers for many common files - MS Office, Apple iWork, PDF, Web, Audio, and Video.
Filer remembers your place in every file. If you're in a random-access mood, grab the slider on the right to quickly scroll anywhere.
-
Opening files from Mail
OK, this isn't really a Filer screenshot. If you tap a Zip file in the iPhone Mail app, the device will ask if you want to send it to Filer.
Also, if you've got transfers running in the background, the count shows up on the app badge, so you can see what's going on.
-
Move to Dropbox
Got a file you want to put in your Dropbox? First think of how you would do this on a real computer. Then do the same thing in Filer. Dropbox is a folder, move a file there.
-
Dropbox Sync View
When browsing Dropbox, all of your files are available to be synched. If you see one you want to sync, tap it. When it's synched you'll see a happy green checkmark, and the icon won't look like a ghost anymore. If you modify that file elsewhere, Filer will let you know it's out of sync. Just tap it again.
-
Multi Move and Delete
Select a bunch of files and move or delete them in one action. You'll be surprised to hear this works well with Dropbox too.
-
Tap and hold files
The old tap-and-hold again. This time you can't see it, but I tapped a PDF and the iPhone will gladly send that to iBooks.
